Harbour walk

A lunch time walk along the Wellington Harbour was a good opportunity to try out some some B&W photography. I thought I’d give the Newspaper recipe another go. This time took out the Fuji X-100VI. All photos taken with the built in ND filter turned on to avoid over exposure, and are JPEGs straight out of the camera.

The recipe is from Kevin Mullins. I’ve used in the past and liked the JPEGs. Just noticed that it works better during the day when there’s more lighter elements in the frame.

    beautiful scenes and the contrasts. Even prefer to see photography taken without any software (filters and presets) intervention. Any preset or LUT can’t work equally on every image due to different light conditions especially when it’s about color photography. On BW it
    somehow look better.

      It was during lunch time. So hard to find lighting contrast. B&W seemed easier to compose.
